Introduction
to Computers
All new members to Computers Pals for Seniors,
Epping are required to commence their computer journey by doing
this course.
One of the main objectives of this course is
to deal with the fact that many new members have had little or
no experience with computers. As a result, they approach the
learning process with a certain amount of apprehension. The
course provides the essential basic functions of the computer,
and in the process, overcomes the initial uncertainty. This is
achieved also by emphasizing that the Club is there for the
enjoyment of members.
As a Club for Seniors, we have the following
stated objective:
"To create a
pleasant and non-threatening
learning environment for members to learn to the extent
that they require, or are able to
achieve."
From time to time, there will be new members
who have had a considerable experience with computers. By doing
this course, they will get an insight into how the Club works,
and also the scope of courses offered.
On completion of this course, the trainer and
helpers will discuss with their students the courses to which
they can progress, according to their present ability.
