MOBILE PHONE WORKSHOPS
The aim of these workshops is to help you
to remove some stress from your life and feel more secure
when out and about on your own, by understanding and
becoming confident in using some of the more useful features
of your mobile phone.
This will help you communicate more
effectively with your family and friends and may even give
you some "STREET CRED" with your grandchildren.
If you attend all the workshops, you
should be able to understand how mobile phones work, make
and receive calls, send and retrieve voice messages and
change your phone profile. You should also be able to
organise your message Bank, add new names and numbers to
your phone's address book, and send, receive and reply to
text messages.
We will also cover use of the camera
feature, which is now so common on these devices.
You are asked to bring your instruction
book and phone charger to each lesson, if possible.
Please Note: We will not be
covering anything to do with the internet, emails or the
downloading of music.
Prerequisites: Students must have
satisfactorily completed Introduction to Computing or Basic
Computing Courses.
